FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What is DISOL-ECO?

Question: What is DISOL-ECO, and how does it differ from traditional oil spill dispersants?

Answer: DISOL-ECO is a revolutionary, eco-friendly, non-toxic nanodetector designed to break down hydrocarbons at the molecular level. Unlike traditional dispersants, which only break oil into smaller droplets and either send the contamination to the bottom or cause it to precipitate, DISOL-ECO initially degrades hydrocarbons upon contact.

Upon contact, DISOL-ECO breaks the covalent bond of the hydrocarbon molecule, polarizing it and making it miscible. When water is applied, the hydrolysis process occurs, separating the hydrogen and carbon molecules, effectively destroying the hydrocarbons.

As a result of this process, the residue is a sludge without physical, chemical, or organoleptic properties (it has no oily consistency to the touch). This process significantly reduces the environmental impact and prevents hydrocarbons from persisting in the environment.

  • How Does DISOL-ECO Compare to Bioremediation?

Question: How does DISOL-ECO compare bioremediation techniques in oil spill cleanup?

Answer: While bioremediation relies on naturally occurring or introduced microorganisms to degrade hydrocarbons, DISOL-ECO offers a faster and more controlled approach by chemically breaking down hydrocarbons at the molecular level. This allows for a quicker, more efficient remediation. Additionally, by breaking down hydrocarbons into simpler byproducts, DISOL-ECO aids in the natural bioremediation process, allowing for a two-stage remediation (chemical and biological).

    Advantages of DISOL-ECO VS. Bioremediation:

    - More immediate solution

    - Less reliance on environmental conditions

    - Dual remediation (chemical and biological)

    - Efficiency and speed in hydrocarbon degradation

  • Has DISOL-ECO Been Tested in Compliance with Regulatory Standards?

Question: Has DISOL-ECO been tested according to the regulatory standards set by MPA , EPA, or other environmental agencies?

Answer: DISOL-ECO has undergone extensive laboratory testing to determine its efficacy in breaking down hydrocarbons. Unlike traditional dispersants, DISOL-ECO’s process has shown superior effectiveness in hydrocarbon degradation.

In collaboration with approved laboratories, we are working to validate DISOL-ECO’s unique capabilities, including:

    - Biodegradability and non-toxicity tests.

    - Residue and byproduct analysis.

    - Efficacy assessments on different types of hydrocarbons.

    - Scalability and applicability studies in various environments.

Our goal is to provide an innovative and effective solution for hydrocarbon spill remediation, minimizing environmental impact while ensuring safety and sustainability.

  • How Does DISOL-ECO Work?

Question: How does DISOL-ECO function on a molecular level to clean up oil spills?

Answer: DISOL-ECO works through a chemical process that produces a catalytic reaction targeting the bonds between hydrogen and carbon atoms in hydrocarbon molecules.

By breaking these bonds, DISOL-ECO separates the hydrocarbon into its elemental components, turning the carbon into an inert substance and allowing the hydrogen to bond with oxygen in water, forming harmless non-toxic byproducts, such as carbon dioxide and water.

  • Is DISOL-ECO Environmentally Friendly?

Question: Is DISOL-ECO safe for the environment, and what are its environmental impacts?

Answer: DISOL-ECO is environmentally friendly and has demonstrated non-toxicity in LC50 tests, even after biodegrading hydrocarbons at the molecular level.

This eliminates the persistence of these pollutants in the environment, reducing them below allowable limits.

The byproducts of this process are non-toxic, making DISOL-ECO a safer and more effective alternative to traditional oil spill cleanup methods, which only disperse hydrocarbons but do not eliminate them.

  • What Types of Hydrocarbon Spills Can DISOL-ECO Be Used For?

Question: What types of hydrocarbon spills can Disol-Eco effectively manage?

Answer: DISOL-ECO is effective against a wide range of hydrocarbon spills, including crude oil, refined petroleum products, and other hydrocarbon-based pollutants.

It can be used in various types of areas exposed to oil pollution including refineries, upstream and downstream equipment, oil storage facilities, vessels, transportation equipment, tank cars, and other places; and in different types of environments such as marine waters, shorelines, inland waterways and land-based spills, making it a versatile solution for different spill scenarios.

  • What Are the Limitations of DISOL-ECO?

Question: Are there any limitations to using DISOL-ECO, such as in specific environmental conditions or types of hydrocarbons?

Answer: DISOL-ECO is highly effective in breaking down hydrocarbons, and its efficacy remains consistent across factors such as temperature, salinity, and the type of hydrocarbon involved.
